Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding
250g AP Flour
1tsp Baking Powder
165g Sugar
2tbsp Cocoa Powder
125ml Milk
1tsp Vanilla
30g Butter, Melted
150g Brown Sugar
25g Cocoa Powder
430ml Water, Boiling
Temperature 350F/180C
9×11 Serving Dish
Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar and cocoa. Stir in the milk, vanilla and melted butter until thoroughly combined. Spoon into dish.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and cocoa powder over the top.
Pour over the boiling water.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is set and firm
The sauce will mix and then ‘sink’ to the bottom, keeping the sponge moist. Definitely best enjoyed hot.
