First time out with this recipe.. mostly successful though it could do with a few alterations..

8oz choc roughly chopped

4 tbsp unsalted butter

3oz plain flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 large eggs

5 oz light brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

12oz choc chips/chunks

Preheat oven to 180C

Melt chocolate and butter together

Whisk eggs, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy, whisk in the chocolate. Mix in the flour, salt and baking powder until just combined

Gently stir in the chocolate chunks.

Drop heaped tablespoons of dough onto trays 2-3 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes until they are shiny and crackly but still soft. Cool for 10 minutes then transfer to racks.

Store in an airtight container if they last that long

As you can see they spread out an awful lot.. they definitely need more flour than the recipe says to hold them together.. I probably should have made my chocolate chunks a lot smaller too!
